My Screen Goes Blank N Continues The Same If I Switch Off My Lap Also

plz guys i need your help...

my laptop with the foll configuration:
OS:windows 7
processor: intel i3 core
graphic card:nvidia geforce
hard disk:320gb

my problem is whenever i switch off my laptop the screen instead of going off it jus becomes blank(white) and never goes off.... my laptop is totally switched off but my laptop screen is still ON with white screen....
plz can anyone help me on this issue...
my laptop is just 2 weeks old so i am just very much concerned about it...

Two weeks old! Take it back into the place (or call, if you got it online) you bought it first, tell em what's up. I'm sure the warranty is still good being that new (so long as you haven't modified anything on it). I'll check with some buddies of mine about it too. Sounds like a factory default. I'd simply try exchanging it for a new first. Are all your display/graphic drivers updated?

And what brand is it?

its LENOVO.. actually now its completely workin fine.... now only prob is tat Games like FIFA 10, C.S. 1.6 n source doesnt work... Do u hav any idea y is my lap not supporting those games???

P.S:FIFA 08 the previous version of FIFA 10 works very smoothly without any problem
