What's your favorite dinner ?

Mine is Steamed Chicken with a side Salad and a glass of chilled white wine

Currently If at home I like Shrimp Pesto Pasta with side of fresh vegetables some nice crusty bread and a CA Pinot Noir. Save some wine for the Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Sauce.

Life is just better with a fast computer, simply great food, a glass of wine and the company of a dear friend. Not necessarily in that order !

I start with some chargrilled oysters, then some seafood gumbo. For the main course a seafood platter with fried oysters, fried catfish, fried shrimp and stuffed crab. For dessert some bread pudding with rum sauce. Then a pillow to take a nap.

As you can tell my Cajun background is alive and well.

I'm a "redneck" cooker myself. Into BBQ.....so ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket all rank right up there for me. I'm not much into alcohol and wines though....and I've got a bit of an allergy to shellfish....so my ability to do seafood is pretty limited.

BBQ meat mixture with potato salad, BBQ beans, and iced cold bottled beer is my favorite. :drool:

Liver and onion casserole- but only every six months or so.
Fresh herring fillet dredged in horseradish sauce and then coated in oats and gently fried in butter.
Freshly dressed crab. I'm the only person I know who can dress a crab which seems an awful shame for them.

right now something I make at home that is right tasty. Ceasar Chicken pan seared and Parmesean-Basil Couscous.

Also a family side-dish: Green beans pan seared with butter Thyme and Sunflower seeds.

No, not in Texas. Born and raised and currently living in Michigan. But my cooking specialties are outdoor cooking on the grill or in the smoker. And while steaks on the grill are nice....a rack of ribs done up right in the smoker are so much more flavorful.
