you forgot the most important program: winlirc! i know its old! but it still rocks. (at least if you have a com-port and can solder at a minimum-level)
its working even under win 7 x64 and there are even some pretty popular programs still suporting it. (Media player classic, winamp) and in case its not suported: try autohotkey! they have an example-script which enables you to map any action to any command send by remote!
so in my oppinion, winlirc definately should be on the list. and i would guess it would even work with some rs232-to-usb-converter.
