Solved AFTER REFORMAT MY 320 HDD MEMORY became 98. PLEASE HELP ME!

Could you post a snip/screenshot of your entire disk management drive map so we can see how your hard drive is set up?

To access disk management: From the start menu right click computer and click manage. In the left pane of the "Computer Management" window that opens up click disk management and post a snip of that.

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/9733-screenshots-files-upload-post-seven-forums.html

these are the pictures that i took. 3 pictures just to make sure. hope you can help me thanks

You can't use unallocated space. You must format unallocated space to use it.

ONLY format the "Unallocated" section.

OK.
I haven't seen that warning before.
What happens if you use "Error-checking" on that disk?

I'd be tempted to borrow a Live Linux CD and use GParted to format that section.

You would have to burn it onto a CD or create a bootable USB stick.
The Ubuntu site has links and instructions.

I keep one handy, because it isn't stopped by Windows Security/Permission settings.

You might want to wait.
One of the HDD experts (here) may have a solution for your problem. :)

Unlikely to help.

I'd look in Event Viewer, just as the error message says. It might give you a clue.

In your first 3 pic's one of them showed it as unallocated space, one showed the error message, but the color at the top of partition showed it as a primary, before you go any further i need to know what you want to do with the partition, is it going to be a data partition D: / or do you want to merge it with C: / and make one big partition. This can be real simple if you don't go any further yet.

Event Viewer is also in the Management console, but if you aren't familiar with how to get to it, it probably won't be of any help.

I would try to run chkdsk on the drive, as suggested above, and or try a free program called Partition Wizard. It can be installed, or you can download a bootable CD to run from.

As always, when messing with partitions, you should have your data backed up first.

See where it says change drive letter and paths. With the ~200GB partition selected give it a drive letter D. Then the partition will show up in Windows explorer.
