you are running 1 gtx 680 right and your score is higher then 2 crossfired 7970's

I don't really see it as a competition, other than just good fun testing and comparing different systems.

There are some that are even killing my score with scores at 3K+. I didn't build my system to try and win at benchmarks though. At the end of the day what matters is that your computer is capable of doing what you want it to.

Here's a retest I just did. (Won't bother you guys with a link this time.) I think the 680 is helping the score out a lot. The i7-3930K and quad channel RAM doesn't hurt either.

I really need to look at a SSD for my OS at least. I didnt get one when I got this system last month. I havent done a whole lot of research on them yet.

Same here. I've been looking at the Corsair Force Series GT SSDs. They have up to 480GB ones now with read speeds up to 555 MBps over SATA 3 (not sure about write speeds).

I might try and hold out to get a 1TB one. We'll see. I like having a full backup on my installed drives just in case.

I will have to look into Corsair then. Amazon had a daily deal on SanDisk yesterday I almost got one just to try but I wanted to do more research.

Hey, as long as it works for you. I spent ten times that on my system's internal components so far. Not bragging, just saying it isn't always worth it.

Thanks. My 670 is overclocked a little. But, I'm not convinced of the accuracy of the tests. Did you notice the scores for hard drives? Most of the SSDs scored lower than the mechanical drives. I also question some of the graphics scores.

I don't know how well it really does at a whole balanced test, but I think within the parameters that it tests, it does an OK job. For the SSDs/HDDs, it looks like it takes capacity into account and rates higher capacity more. So it is kind of arbitrary in the sense that not everyone is going to need the same specs to have a more than capable enough computer for their needs.

People definetly shouldn't base the worth of their computer just on different benchmark scores, unless it's specifically some kind of benchmarking competition computer.

Tommy, I don't believe this test is even close to valid. You should have killed me in the graphics score, but look at the ram score, then look at the MB/s for the ram. A 1TB HDD will score much higher than an SSD on most of the results on this test.

It does seem to be a bit of a joke this test, it's obviously not using your Crossfire in the test Solar, and even then it should be scoring more for a single card.
