Relax my friend. You are in good company. Of the many WEI scores posted a single SATA II HDD configuration has not scored over 5.9 yet (that I know of). Even the fast ones.

Even the RAID0 configurations only get to mid 6's if I remember most of them correctly.

The high HDD WEI score is there for SSD comparisons. 5.9 is good for a single SATA.

Welcome to SevenForums! :)

its a continual ''work in progress''....
I have a 7.6/7.6/6.2/6.2/7.1, rated 6.2, limited by the fact that W7 doesn't take crossfire into account. A truely frustrating thing, since the system really should rate over 7.

Bios/Nvidia drivers = 10% boost graphics score

I contacted XFX and got a bios update (721NSP08A Win7 x64 compatible version) for the 680i LT motherboard. Downloaded new Nvidia driver 190.38 for x64. System appears stable and WEI for both Aero graphics and Business graphics improved from 6.0 to 6.6 with the cards in SLI mode and PhysX on. I reasonably sure the bios update was what made the difference in the stability of the newer drivers.

before update (bios 721NSP07 and Nvidia driver 182.50):
Win7 exp scores no-over-clocking.PNG

before update with SLI and PhysX enabled:
Win7 with SLI and PhysX enabled.PNG

after update (bios 721NSP08A and Nvidia driver 192.38):
WEI scores P08A bios.PNG

Truely sad that I need Raid or SSD drives to get above 5.9 on Hard Drive.
