Well it passed heaven fine but BF3 didn't like it at all. I switched it back to stock settings. I'm checking something else now but will start another thread.

Yup Bf3 always shows if a cpu is unstable for me. I can pass IBT and other tests then fail after 10 mins of BF.
I hope you find its sweet spot or are you leaving it stock now?

Exactly my cpu is stable at 3.6 but I lowered it to 3.4 while trying to OC the gpu. It benched better but game wise wasn't much different so I'm going to leave the gpu at stock. BF3 is a good test for me, it played but I got that annoying pop up about changing the scheme, of course at the worse time LOL, but going back to stock no pop up

Dropped the core back down 10, and put the Mv at stock, runs good and is stable in BF3 now.



:banghead::banghead: Ended up with a dx error, dropped the core 20 and the memory 100, then upped the Mv...seems stable for now

So as I continue to try to play with OCing my graphics I decided using the software Firestorm, precision, and Afterburner were not working well enough for me. I decided to brave it and mod my Bios on the card. I used KGB tweaker to do it. Here are some SS's of the settings I put in



I increased my default GPU up by 29, my memory by 198, and increased my boost clock.

It improved my heaven and 3d mark scores..



And then the BF3 test to test stability. It played great, felt a little zippier and no crash. Thought about tweaking some more but will stick with this for a while.

Okay so I tweaked more upped the base to 1097, lowered memory by 4 and lowered the boost a little

why is ur gpu running at x1?

It throttles itself down, my brand new card does it to, it`s supposed to.

But it should be at 2.0 or 3.0 etc. during testing.


Maybe you could repost the shot of it running in x1 speed, because my eyes don`t see it.

BTW extreme test are just done to compare each other but would love to see how well you go with native res

Looks good!! Do you have any AA with that, I want to compare my Zotac to your MSI card.

Not on that run, but you could compare it to my extreme run.

That was a stock medium run, I didn`t change any settings.

Okay thanks, here are mine. I am not at stock though. My zotac stock setting is 993 on the GPU core clock. I bumped it up to 1033 to match yours I slid my power slider to 110% so that probably added a few fps for me too.
