"Something" blocks processes while writing to disk

I'm trying not to throw it away, in facts, but the computer progress is too fast to spend money on an old hw. It is wiser to buy a new machine, instead.

Absolutely pdario that's just what I did. I didn't like to say in case you were not (no offence meant) in a position to get a new machine.

My two Toshibas I have one set up with an SSD in each and 7 on one and trying to get the trial of 8 on the older machine as I don't like dual boots mate and if yo want my humble opinion I would stay away form that too if I were you .

You mean staying away from dual boot? Yes, I don't like it; I prefer a core system and virtual machine on it, if I need to.

About getting a new machine: the fact is I don't need it now. My 8935 is very good at what I'm doing + I will get an extra GB upgrading to x64. It has a perfect 18.1" 1920x1080 LED display and I'm surprised how its Radeon 4670 is keeping with modern games; I can play at full res with almost every title I like. I'm happy with it. I will consider getting a new one when there will be anything I want to run that it does not hold up to (or if it breaks!!).

Absolutely mate I am trying when I get chance to try out the virtual machine stuff.

I did a dual boot once when 8 was in beat and oh boy did I regret that move.

I suppose and it is entirely your choice but you could try a build I am just addicted to building as you can do so many variables.;)

On the RAM bit again a personal choice but I like to keep my RAM in "even" numbers so to speak so 6GB would be just the go for you more than enough.

Oh but how many slots do you have in that machine?

Withe x64 upgrade I'm doing, I'll retake the last GB of my 4GB system RAM! :)
