The Finnish PBS broadcaster YLE shows each year the departure of Santa Claus from his official home in Finnish Lapland to his trip around the world to deliver presents. He always leaves two days before Christmas for this long journey, starting his duties in Scandinavia and Northern Europe where the presents are given and Christmas celevrated on 24thm then continues to those countries which follow the suit on 25th.

Hannah said that's not the real Santa as he didn't have enough reindeer, he wasn't flying and didn't have any presents :sarc:

Tell Hannah Santa is airborne only when no one is watching. The reason he starts his trip so early, today, is that he first goes to pick the other reindeers and all presents from a secret place. He will go there however only after the film crew has gone, for not to reveal the secret location.

Today........ today I'm about as mad as I've ever been. Steaming is not the word for it. Seething comes a little closer but still does not encompass just how irate I am. just about everyone knows what I do for a living, just look at my username. Well, I belong to a couple of "Industry" sites where I go for business news and just talking. Much like the chill out room here. Facebook has decimated them both (WAIT, this isn't about Facebook!), and my favorite of the two has been taken over by an entity called "Outdoor Amusement Association",NOT the tried and true always great "Outdoor Amusement Business Association". Its a poor excuse for an industry website serving mainly as a portal to ..... yeah, you guessed it, Facebook. As recently as a couple of weeks ago I logged in and wrote a short blog piece about the past season. For the last couple of days, I've been wanting to get a phone number from their classified section but... I can't log in (INVALID username!!! been there for YEARS) or even register/re-register. I noticed then that my blog piece was on the front page. Today when I tried again (after repeatedly trying to contact anybody in charge), I noticed MY blog was credited to "ADMIN". Not a mention of me as either Alan (my first name) OR Scott (my middle name and the one I use) or even indianacarnie, the name I wrote it under. No contact, no entry to site,no credit for MY piece thats on the *%^#*@$&% front page! I am (I hope) understandingly going out of my skull about this. Considering a lawyer actually but not sure of my standing legally. Will be researching this for the next few days. It does not seem right or legal for someone else to take my writing, even a blog, and take credit/profit for it.

So today I received a rather long mail from my internship company in Bruxelles, in which they announced that due to a crisis situation within the company all internships for 2014 will be suspended This means that I now have to go look for another company to hold my internship at, with less than a month to do so

After informing my family my aunt announced that she'd inquire her work, the Dutch House of Representatives, if they still needed an intern. My godfather also told me that he's ask an old colleague of his who works at the Dutch Supreme Court in Den Haag if they still need someone, but my hopes for both aren't very high

And to top it off, if I can't get a certified internship before January 17th, I will have to redo the entire year
Today was the worst day of 2013 for me.
