Thanks sonycosmos! If you didn't have to hit the Shift key it would be ideal, but it working from the desktop context menu is just like the tweaks for Win Vista.
Thanks for your help!!

I actually just switch today with this program which you just right click on the desktop .

MIDIOX
Works perfect. Can't thank you enough for the alternate method. Right click and that's it.

Thanks!!

If I didn't save before, Is there a way to restore the Icon Layout?
Where is Windows saving the info: in a file or in the Regisrty?

I want to know, if I can restore for example by Restore Previous Versions of the Context Menu.

As long as your OS is creating restore points then System Restore should return them to their positions (as long as a restore point was created with the icons in the positions you want).

Yes, I noticed this. But is there a simpler solution than to restore the entire system... ?

No. there is nothing native to Windows 7 that you can simply click on an application or restore their location(s) by adding a registry entry that will appear in the context menu (a programmer could probably write one though).

That said, you may want to consider arranging the desktop icons to your liking and then download an very small executable called DeskLock (DeskLock 1.2 - Downloadcrew). It sits in the system tray and when enabled prevents the destop icons from being moved either on purpose, accidentally or when themes/screens are changed. And don't worry..the download is safe.
