That is a bummer Paul
I was getting a little nervous with the evga 980 hybrid and a separate corsair h110i gt so I replaced 1 potential leaker :)

4k monitors ?
I have pretty much decided a 4k t.v. in the 40-50" range would be better than paying that much for a 27"..... monitor ;)
Seems more enjoyable to me :/
I believe the asus 24" 144 monitor I got for 250.us is good enough.

Hi. I looked some reviews for that keyboard and what I see there was positive thoughts. I have corsair gaming k70 and its good keyboard too and nearly same price gategory I think. TrashZone I got 65" 4k curved television but I think its not best for gaming... maybe console gaming its ok.

Nope I would however get one first but doubt it would be a curved :)
Depends on which gpu you get really I was looking at the titan x and actually sent it back because it's redundant without a screen to make use of the pixels,
Titan z would be the ultimate 4k gpu

I have the G710+ and it drives me crazy looks like the G910 is about the same,
I can't get into the funky large raised keys personally
Luckily I got it for a lot less than the retail price or I'd be taking it back.

Some people likes slim keyboard and some like me like buttons which are some upper like corsair k70 does. I had first 65" samsung 4k normal (flat) television but i replaced it to curved model because curved have 5years of warranty instead of normal screen 2 years and there was no big diffrence at price :)

Sorry for the delay in replying. Been fairly busy, was birthday yesterday. I am almost scared to type this in case something goes wrong again but touch wood it seems the PC has fixed itself. All the issues have disappeared today and even the onboard sound is working again. I can only put this down to the PC fully drying out? But right now everything is working as it should and I am very happy about that!

In reply to your question yesterday Niklu no my Monitor is just a regular 60hz Dell 2560x1440p. It works very well for gaming to me anyway. I have no plans to change it anytime soon. Dell UltraSharp U2713HM 68.5cm (27") LED Monitor Details | Dell

I will test the PC for a few more days for issues and then get a refund on the faulty cooler and try something else.

Happy birthday Paul

Yep Urbwolf I got mine from micro center last one and did get a price match from amazon
I'm sort of getting used to the G710+
The special charters are so faint it's tough for my old eyes to see them is the really annoying thing about mine,
The lighting does not pass through those symbols which doesn't make much sense to me :/

Ya Doug, a 24" is plenty big enough for my desk. That and some Dominator are up next :D

Niklu, name some games that are above 1080p.

Wow, you`re bustin my chops Paul, when all you have is a 60 Hz monitor ?

Who care about a higher resolution for gaming, 1080p is fine, a higher refresh rate is more important, enough said

AOC G2460PG 24" G-SYNC 3D-Ready Ultimate Performance Gaming Monitor 1ms(GTG) 144hz DisplayPort Widescreen LED Backlight - Newegg.com

It was a bit of a windup really. If I had the chance I would run 4x 980ti on a single monitor. I don't envisage that happening anytime soon though lol.

As far as high res gaming is concerned I play all the latest games at 2560x1440p and they look fantastic. More detail and a wider field of view. It is obviously more demanding on the GPU though but my 980 handles it at around ultra settings for now.

The main thing for me right now is that my PC has fixed itself after the leaking water cooler. That was a big worry.
I sent it back yesterday for a refund and ordered a Corsair H110i GT cooler. Hopefully I will have better luck with that sucker!

Respect

Cool Thrashzone, so long as it doesn't leak I will be happy lol. That's a good price but I am UK so paid a fair bit more than that as we always have to with PC stuff.

That's a good score Solar with your CPU. A 6 or 8 core CPU really has an advantage in the 3D Mark benchmarks but it depends how far you are willing to go to get better scores.

Sorry Doug, I can't update the leaderboard with Solars new score, I am on my Windows 7 install for the last few days until the big switch to 10 so don't have access to the boards like I did before. Maybe I can but I don't know how so I will leave it.
