Probably not there's no bios options for fan speed.. that I've noticed it is legacy

Thier lists it but that is a different sku then the one being sold on sites like micro and newegg so it might not come with one anymore. As long as the backplate has holes for the socket the mounting is same as 1150 I think in terms of length. You might want to shoot an email at corsair and ask them if they would send you the older mounting hardware but honestly if you can get a 775 stock cooler it is prob good enough as the Pentium should not put out much heat I would think.

That is it but it looks like it no longer supports 775 apparently, I would email them and ask about it.

Have you considered looking into a Core 2 Dueo E8600? It works great I am currently using one right now OCs at 3.5 no problem

No not really I wasn't looking to go that far
Just update the cpu cooler it's pretty old and wore out
Add some case fans..

Machine in general works very well otherwise I wouldn't even bother with all of this

Beside some case fans which I'm still pondering because Corsair only has green led fans in the wind series and not the quite series I need to get a different fan hub to adjust the rpms :/
I did see a cool one that fits in a pci slot though I'll probably end up getting so at least I can manually adjust them.

This recase is still going strong. It is recently retired as a standby PC.

Cost ~$75 plus time. There was no need to replace the CPU cooler just clean and reset it with new thermal paste. If you want to replace the CPU cooler then maybe an extra $40. Thermaltake have updated their Case/PSU combo since then.

Yep I remember that one well you actually gave me the inspiration
Just did my new build first instead so I would have another desktop to fall back on if things get broken like mostly the Acer mother board

Just got my new RM850 psu a little while ago
Fans and a couple fan controllers should be around next week sometime
Once I get those I'll be ready for a little r&r

And yes the dinky stock cpu cooler had to go it's completely wore out time to retire
Besides possibly needing a couple cables for the fan controller I should have everything end of next week

New case is another Corsair 450D darn I like it

Went a head a started,
The cpu cooler mount was fun
Acer glued it on surprised I didn't crack the mobo took quite a bit of fiddling and alcohol to get the mounting back plate off for the new Cooler Master one and also replaced the thermal paste on the other little doo-da to under it

You put TIM Paste on the backplate, or thermal pads/rubber?

Acer glued it on

I think sometimes the thermal paste needs a bit of a warm up before removing the old cooler. Then let the CPU cool down before cleaning with high purity iso propyl alcohol. My old Acer had a quad Intel 8300 and the cooler was fine after a clean and a thermal paste reseat. The EVO 212 heat sink is what i have on my current PC and is a low cost great alternative.
