Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset

Hello, i've recently upgraded to windows 7 32-bit. I'm having a problem installing Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family Graphics Driver.
It says that my pc doesn't meet the minimum requirements.
I've downloaded every driver there: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=4062&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us〈=en&product=3807978.

I don't know for sure whether your machine has both the Nvidia GPU and the integrated GPU but assuming that machine has some sort of power saving switchable graphics option, you will have to force the machine to start up using the integrated graphics chip by selecting it in BIOS and/or disabling the Nvidia GPU in device manager in order to install the driver. Let me know if you need instructions on how to do so.

What does your device manager look like ? Would you post a screen shot? I'm just wondering if windows has installed drivers for your chipset and if they really need to be upgraded. What kinds of problems are you experiencing with your system. Besides not being able to install the above linked drivers. Thanks and welcome to seven forums. Fabe

About the problems, i'm experiencing freezing issues with my games. They are not running properly as they used to on my old OS (Vista).

not for laptops.
sometimes for desktops if you pay more for the Discreet graphics the company just throws in a card and the BIOS disables the IGP, but for laptops the motherboard with the intel chip is replaced with a motherboard with discreet graphics if you get the Nvidia/ATI option.
It could be possible for a company to creat a laptop motherboard that would have both chips, but usually it is uneconomical and useless.

Strange that your Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Driver is not listed in the device manager: (here's mine)

It's not so uneconomical and useless "IceFire"...it is made for the "PowerManagement" added by the manufacturer.
When I unplugg to switch to battery, my graphic card switch itself from 512mb to 256mb for economical battery power purpose. On my side it is pretty handy, as my battery is supposed to handle a bit more than 8 hours runs...with this new process call, Intel G.M.A Graphic Driver.

I doubt our friend "coolbyte" could upgrade as easily those drivers, because they have been changed and adjusted by the manufacturer...Nearly impossible to install without buggy situation.
Preferable to wait the manufacturer update!

The device manager lists an nvidia chipset, can you go through the preparation section in the troubleshooting guide in my sig and double check your system specs? I have 2 GPU's in the laptop in my specs, and I always need custom drivers.

You have an nvidia GPU - one last thing, click the dialog box entitled GPU #0 - if it has another entry change it and upload another shot. If not, get the latest drivers for your card from the laptop manufacturer. Use the drivers guide in my sig if you need more info.

Well i have the latest beta driver ( tried the every driver ) but still my games are unplayable.
It has only one entry yes.

Install the other drivers - chipset and firmware. Then run diagnostics - run the Short DST from Seagate Seatools, then defrag your disk and run chkdsk, then run Memtest86+ for a couple of passes. If these pass, upload your results and then temps - use RealTemp and HWInfo - after using your laptop for a few hours.

Could it be a mismatch between the ram memory?
It suppose to be the same brand when you are on dual channel?
Even if they appear both the same.

It's not only possible but it happens and is very useful, if somewhat expensive. Check the specs on a lenovo T500 with switchable graphics. It has the intel mobile express chipset AND the ATI HD 3470.. far from the best for games but good enough to play COD 4 at high quality, low resolution without any lag, or in integrated graphics mode, surf the internet for 5 1/2 hours before I have to plug in.

In Internet Explorer go to this address>>

Intel® Product Support

And click on the Automatically detect and update drivers and software link on the left.

This will scan for Intel Hardware and install the latest drivers for it.

Nvidia just released their Optimus technology which allows you to do that, I don't believe any computers have it yet though.
