Program stopped working message in games

Hi,
Since I installed win 7 ultimate x86 I started having troubles with my games. All games that I've been playing have tendency to crash. There is no set time, sometimes it's 3 hours, sometims one and sometimes there's a crash after 5 minutes. The game just shut itself down and message "program has stopped working" with the close program button appears. No other error explanation or anything. Games that I've had trouble with up until now are: The Lord of the Rings Online, Silent hunter 3, Mass Effect 2, NBA 2k10 and most recently (playing it at the moment) Dragon Age Origins with the Awakening expansion. I've tried reinstalling the system and installing the newest display drivers, but it didn't seem to help.
Can anyone give me any advice on this please?
P.S. I never had any BSOD or machine reboots, just game crash with "program has stopped working" message, so I don't know if there is any dump file or something that I should post here.

Hi simets,

The only thing I can think of is for you to update your DirectX. Please try that first. Are you experiencing this with ANY other programs besides games?

Hello.
I have just updated my DirectX, just wondering if I did it the right way?
I went to this web page Download details: DirectX End-User Runtime
And downloaded file called dxwebsetup and I have let it do it's job. Is that what I was supposed to do?
Also I have attached my dxdiag report if that can help.
Now I'm gonna see if this updating helped and I'll post what happens later.
Cheers

EDIT: Nope, didn't help, Again a crash with the same message

There is a program called "whocrashed" It may help you out.

As I understand this program is determining what crashes windows. I don't have these kinds of troubles, just games stopping working and crashing to desktop with windows working perfectly after that.

Running any virtual drives perhaps? I know Dead Space refuses to run if any are running, which could be the case here.

I've tried that this morning, I've had Daemon tools lite installed. I've disabled the virtual drive and exited Daemon application and I've played Dragon Age for about 3 hours without a crash. Well it still can be a coincidence but at the moment it seems to have solved the problem.
I'll see in the next couple of days if games should crash again and I'll post the news here. If no crashes occur I thank you for the good suggestion :D
Cheers mate

Thanks for your help, Whoo! Glad to hear your games are working better now, simets. Please keep us posted on whether disabling virtual drives seems to have fixed your issues entirely.
