What is the name of your wireless internet network

Next question that ties in with this, how many of you go out if your way to hide/encrypt/whatever your passwords/log in details/etc? And if so, who are you hiding them from?

I don't save logins or passwords in my browsers nor on my computer. I do allow cookies that save the login.

Um, now that i think about it, i have it password protected, and i cant remember what the password is. HAHA. i'll have to look it up if i ever have company with a laptop.

And then after you get it reset, write down the password and what not and leave it under the router. No point in hiding it because if someone gets that close to it and wants access all they have to do is hit the reset button.

My SSID isn't broadcast anyway, I also change all defaults including the default network subnet, router passwords etc. every thing is secured - the thing I find is that I do not set things correctly at home I tend to get lazy when setting up other peoples systems

i just went to my router's ip and found it.

Mine is "DGHome" My initials and the word Home.

It may not be that way for long, because after reading this thread I have the urge to get creative... But I have to change a netbook, a printer and a phone to do it. I may also change back to WPA while I am at it... I dropped to WEP because a laptop that isn't usually there couldn't use WPA successfully.

The best I've seen was when looking for available networks in my local pub. They have free WiFi now and my laptop connects to it automatically, so I haven't check if this still exists, but apparently too many pub customers had tried to connect to this: UCanTry. (Translated, original was DuKannstProbieren)

My home WiFi name is a dull, long combination of letters and numbers, setup password protected of course, and it's hidden. I have a wide range N1 router by a corner window to allow me to use the connection outside the house, so my main point was to make it secure rather than find a nice name

Because SSiDs can't be that long, you've got the 32 character limit.

if my computer didnt throw a wobbly at it so could i, the connections fast enough, its just unfortunately it doesnt like streaming HD so im forced to download them no point watching Wonders of the Solar system with all their cool CGI if its not in HD
