I would try a PS/2 keyboard. You may need an update to the BIOS

USB will sometimes not get detected for some reason. It may work to unplug it and plug it back in.

Is your keyboard responding on boot? If not, and it is working normally when you are actually in your OS, then you may need to check the USB legacy settings in your BIOS. This is usually enabled by default, so if it has been disabled you will need to reset the BIOS to its defaults (or use a PS/2 keyboard) to enable this option. If your keyboard has a USB-PS/2 adapter, use that. If not, then follow the instructions below.

Try removing and replacing the battery (small round CR2032 type). When doing so, leave it out for about 5 mins before replacing it. This should reset the BIOS to its defaults, so you will need to correct the time and date and also adjust any other settings that have been reset. Alternatively, use the motherboard jumper (see the manual for details).

Using the PS/2 adapter did not help, but after I put keyboard back into its usb port I was able to get back in. WTF bleepin puters LOL

Did you by chance reset your BIOS using the jumper?

On many systems removing that jumper prevents BIOS access, as an anti-tampering measure.

Check the jumper is on the right pins and properly in place...

Its doing it again, pressing the delete key is bringing up the bootmanager and not bios, WHY?

It seems powering down and then turning off PS for a mo, releases the Boot Manager, and then bios access is achieved.

I have the same MB and am having the same problem. Oddly enough, CTRL+ALT+DEL will restart the BIOS process, I just can't get into the BIOS with the Delete key.

Try removing CMOS battery, than boot up.

This would erase all bios and saved bios profiles. Which in my case would screw my RAID array.

I just powered down, unplug power supply, change keyboards USB port, wait a couple of minutes, power up and boot to bios with delete key normally.

Thanks for the input, folks.

I figure (as in "hope and pray") that a BIOS reset would do it, just don't want to have to reset every last dohickey there is. I don't have a RAID array to worry about.

I'd do that, but can't understand why if CTRL+ALT+DEL works that a simple press of the Delete key doesn't register. I tried unplugging the keyboard and am about to restart the computer.
