Pirate bay judge- Member of two copyright organisations

The Judge which led the case of the Pirate bay four is a member of two copyright organisations yet say's there was no conflict of interest. How does he work that one out, this trial gets more absurd as it goes on. Why didn't they just have the head of warner bros as the judge. Baffled.

good read, this trial is so messed up that a verdict will take years.
by which time the entertainment industry will hopefully pull their heads out and accept that tpb and sites like it are going to always exist

It's the good old u.s of a trying to buy what it wants. Did they ever think this would escape the media. They are so stuck in their draconian ways that they don't realize we can communicate to the other side of the world with the flick of a switch. It has almost certainly got to go for a re-trial in the very least. What a mockery those big organisations make of the general public for greed$$$$$$$$$$$. It is us who suffer though with those ludicrous prices for albums that where the same as last years but with a different order of play. Don't they realize we have shuffle these days?

the trial did seem a bit quick for what seems a complex situation,it smelled like something wasnt right.

Haven't you heard of "Kangaroo Courts".

Maybe in your country you have a 100% totally fair and honest legal system where the amount of money you have etc doesn't count. Unfortunately it's not so easy in other countries -- even in reasonably democratic ones like mine although we are better than most -- and as the Banks here have absolutely no money left no court is going to even THINK of enforcing any judgements.
