Epson printer driver

Hi Mcblzr-- I trired those very things that Lordbob posted here, (which is the same directions as here) and that did not work either. Thanx..

myzr7--No I have not tried that I will and get right back to you. When I click on it I do have a "remove this device".

MYZR7--- Yes it comes back on looking the same. It has 3 pictures of the Epson printer, one has a green check mark, meaning the default printer. They are all labeled the same. Was you thinking of some thing else happening.? Such a simple thing as networking a printer, and having this problem, just blows my mind. I have tried deleting all the printers and starting from scratch so many times, I think this computer is reading my mind. :-) And I have tried so many different combinations. You would think even by accident some thing would make it work. I mean there isen't that many different combinations. I said this before, the thing that gets me is there is no error codes coming up, and just saying everything is good and it should work. After I click to print something I have waited a long time to make sure it is just not slow. When I look in the printer, to see what it should be printing there is never any thing there, like it is not communicating right. I take that back, Once or twice there was something there, but it still would not print. I made sure I cleared that out each time too.

I just re-read all of the posts here. When you set up your network, did you use the new HOMEGROUP type or did you use Work Network? When I did the first Win7 Beta 7000, it did not work well with my networks. Since then all my Win7 installs have used Work Network setup. This seems to work with all my XP computers & my Lexmark business printer.

This is a learning experience for all of us. I just added my old HP PSC 1350 printer that is on another old XP computer as a second network printer on the Win&_RC_7100 computer. It found the drivers & installed it ok. Printed Test Page, No Problem. But yours is still a mystery

yep I was thinking that when windows reinstalled it wham it works but no go huh. Snipping tool very nice and easy to work with after a little practice. I think there are tutorials to help with that on site. so you say you have tried clicking on add printer and then wireless network and it finds your printer and you select it and then it says is it ok to load xp drivers on here for it and then you print a test page and no go huh?

I have a wired connection, yes it looked good and said it was right but nothing happens. The Epson puts out a little window when it is read to print, and that never happens. No matter what combination I try.

go to the page that I snipped to you cp/hw/printer Ok then try this remove all devices that say epson on it. then unplug you network wire. restart your win 7 , have a look see and there should be no printers listed back yet because you are off the network then. try to add a printer. When it starts searching for a printer on network then plug in network wire and watch it find your printer. maybe for some reason the wrong printer is being added back in.

Here is a thought  Have you ever heard of a FREE program called TeamViewer ? My tech support use this to remotely connect to my business network to upgrade & setup up my business program & network. Maybe one of our Techies could use this to look at your Win7 Computer. :geek:

Gunny,
This seems like the host computer/printer problem. I believe Seven is doing it fine, but the host is screwing it up.

Can you print from the XP computer? If so, make sure that the HOST COMPUTER has the drivers for the printer installed and THE SEVEN drivers as well.

I think that program might be the way somebody here can look at your computers & network setup. I'm not as good as a lot of members here, but I have learned a lot by trial & error. Just do a Yahoo or google search for the program, it's Free for non-commercial use.

Sorry that is not working for you. I have a home network and a brother printer wired in by usb running on an xp pc. I have two windows 7 os's on the network and when I remove the brother from the device page they stay removed till I add them back manualy. I thought it would be the same for you. What win 7 version are you running? Can you take a snip shot of them 3 printer icons? and post it for us to look at? thanks
