Hi, you don't have to install any directx. It's pre-installed with Windows 7.

    Bye

Sorry but that's not exactly true, and Microsoft DOES provide updates for DX files.

This is from my Tips on Troubleshooting Game Issues....

5 - Update your Direct X files - Contrary to popular belief, just because Windows 7 is DX11 capable doesn’t mean it has the latest DX9 files!!! Most game issues can be fixed by simply updating the DX files.

BTW - Windows 7 is fully compatible with games and hardware that use older versions of DirectX
Back to the OP.... use this link.... Download details: DirectX Redist (June 2010). As you can see, this is the June 2010 update. It's actually the entire file.

If you want Windows to check your files, use this link.... Download details: DirectX End-User Runtime. This will install any outdated or missing files from the web automatically.

    Good luck.

    @ abu46

Check my Tips on Troubleshooting Game Issues starting at step #6 to get an idea how your scenario works with regards to DX11. Should clear things up :)
