Display out of align

Hi all, This is my first post so if in case I miss any detail, kindly pardon me and let me know. I was playing my GTA San Andreas and mistakenly I pressed the Windows Orb Key(Windows Logo Key) on the keyboard now when my desktop was displayed it was out of alignment it has moved one inch to the left of the center. Now troubleshooting steps that I have tried so far.

1. Changed the settings of the monitor via buttons on it, no change.
2. When I press auto adjustment, monitor switches itself off.
3. When I change the resolution to any other apart from the one on which I was playing game, Issue gets resolved.
4. Tried to get the Enable VGA Mode option, but F8 brings up the boot device selection menu.
5. Now when I play the game, display is out of alignment as well.

Additional Info.

DxDiag: No problem detected
Display effected: 1280 x 768 (Display device: LG Flatron - W1941s)
I am using GeForce 8600 GT (512 MB)
If I change the display in game or on desktop, my display gets aligned.

So any ideas, how to get this resolved?

Sounds like you need to set the display scaling option to the right one in the nVidia control panel. ("Adjust Desktop Size and Position" feature. Try the "Use My display's built-in scaling" button.)

Incidentally, it sounds like you have an Asus motherboard. The F8 key brings up the boot device menu. You can get into safe mode by selecting a boot device, and then immediately pressing F8 again.

Tr0uble, Welcome to SevenForums
Maybe did you try a system restore. Not sure that would help but maybe worth a try. Good luck to you with your problem.

Align To Grid
Hi all, Is the "align to grid" option not available in Windows 7? I liked to customize folder positions inside a particular folder. But now, the ways seem to be fixed. Thanks in advance for your help. HDM
"Align icons to grid" does not align to grid
When I right click on my desktop and go to View > Align icons to grid, it has no effect on icons whether I turn it on or off. The icons do not align in any sort of way and are haphazard around my desktop. This started happening on its own about two days ago and has been driving me nuts because I...
View: Align Icons to Grid
I'm running Win 7 Pro 64 bit. I always uncheck 'Align icons to grid' under View (on Desktop). Yet every time I reboot it's checked again. Can someone tell me how to keep it from being checked (activated) when I reboot? Thank you.
