Yes, but I installed all that like 3 times already and still there's no change Is there something (besides restart) I should do after the install part? Oh, and should it be "express" or "custom"

I thought you had to adjust the ATI graphics card driver settings and add 1366x768 to get it to work. Am I wrong?

Look in control panel or the notification are for an ATI icon. You should be able to do it from there.

In the notification area, near the Windows clock, you'll find the shortcut from the ATI control panel. Right Click > 1. (...) > Set the desktop to 1366 x 768.

Right, but there's no shortcut there and the closest to an ATI icon thing I found was an ATIsetup and when I opened it nothing happened..

I'm about to give up

Marina go into Programs and Features and uninstall the ATI driver that you installed from Wallonn7's link (sorry Wallonn7), as with your laptop likely won't work properly with the reference ATI driver. You need to get the one from the link brummyfan posted or directly from HP/Compaq (under Graphics),

Software & Driver Downloads Compaq Presario CQ62z-200 CTO Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

as HP will have modified bits of it to work with the display they used in the laptop. Hopefully the driver from HP/Compaq qill get you up and running at the correct resolution.

Stormy, it's still the same with this one... And no ATI icon shows up anywhere, not even in the folder. I'm probably not doing something right, idk

Scale resolution to higher than the 1366x768 native
Hi, I've been searching since a very long time, to see if such a solution existed under Windows; My laptop native resolution is 1366x768, but I would be interested in putting it above that (Maybe 1920x1080. In VMware, with the "Stretched" option, 1920x1080 is still readable). So far, the only...

Can't select 1366x768 resolution
Hi. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on my Lenovo Z575, which has a screen resolution of 1366x768. Unfortunately, Windows does not have the option to select this. The best I can get is 1280 x 768, but it looks awful. I know I can get this to work on this laptop because I just bought it second...

No 1366x768 resolution for my TV?
Recently I was using the VGA output on my graphics card to connect to my TV. I was able to set it to 1366x768 (custom) and it looked fine on TV. Then I discovered that my PC had HDMI out. So I decided to use that. This is when I ran into some problems. There is no option for 1366x768, and this...

New laptop, resolution limited to 1366x768. Any way to increase this?
So the laptop in question is a 15,9" ASUS K53SV (I think, not 100% on the exact numbers/lettering) with an i7 2630, with integrated graphics chip AND a Geforce 540m. I suspect that the reason why I cannot increase my desktop resolution further is because that integrated chip insists on running...
