How to change fan speed for Nvidia video cards?

What program do i use to change the fan speed of my 8800 GS? some people said that you can do it with RivaTuner, but I don't speak RivaTuner.

yes afterburner is a stripped down easy to use version of Riva Tuner produced by the same guy, Riva Tuner is more precise and can do much more it really is worth getting to know better :) .................... according the dev of riva/afterburner they are going to lock afterburner to MSI cards only soon which is a shame as its so easy to use and quite fantastic , creating a custom fan curve with riva tuner (gradually increasing fan speed using temp as a trigger) really isnt that complicated and much better than just ramping up your fan speed

ok thx, but unfortunately I can't change the fan speed of my 8800 GS because MSI Afterburner says it doesn't have a fan controller or sumthing. Is it safe to increase the voltage for OCing with Afterburner?

I don't think you can control the fan speed, it is a 2 wire fan connector, so runs at full speed always I believe. If you could, it would probably take an older program like nTune

EVGA Precision is a good tool. It works with non EVGA cards but you have to download it from a third party software supplier such as Guru or Softpedia:)

your right you cant alter the fan speed , not with software anyway as it only has two wires so there is no fan speed sensor , the only way to do it is to lower the voltage to the fan
