Fried Graphics Card, Suggest Me A New One

My sisters have been complaining there computer has had "No signal".

Today i had a chance to look at it. I did the basic's and checked the wires and seemed ok. I took the case apart and vaccumed out 2 tonnes of dust. The dam thing still wouldn't work.

I suspected it was the graphics card, failing that it would be the processor (As i couldn't hear a beep when it turned on, not sure if it did this anyway)

I took the card out to find several resistors on the back had fried causing the back of the card to be black.

They have a ATI Readon X800 Pro 256Mb. I got this only days after these were launched years and years ago, its funny to think something like this used to be top of the game.

They need a new one, i've looked on eBay and there's one that ends in 9 days :S (My sister is back to school in 7 days and has a exam to write up)

Can anyone suggest me another PCIe card that has the same quality OR better quality?

    Thanks
    Dan

Ati or Nviia, or it doesn't matter? How much are you looking to spend on your sister?

Sparkle GeForce GTS 250 Video Card - 1024MB DDR3, PCI Express 2.0, Dual Link DVI, HDMI at TigerDirect.com
    $115
Consider getting a surge protector to help prevent your card from getting fried.

Cheap and decent, a GTS 240 or 250 would be nice.

    Thanks all

Not too much. They mainly use it for surfing the net and on-line games such as farm vile etc etc.

You want to spend $46? It would have greatly helped if you mentioned price in the beginning. Purchase the Sapphire Radeon HD 4650 Video Card for $48.99.

Be sure you check the slot you took the card out of because there could be something burnt there also.
