    Graphic Card Temperature

I just installed Piriform Speccy on my computer and it shows that my 256MB GeForce 8600GTS (nVidia) is 59 degrees Celsius. I opened the computer and the fan is running fine the board and it feels warm to touch but not hot. The rest of my hardware is all between 24 to 34 degrees Celsius.
Is 59 degrees acceptable for a graphic card?

    Thanks

Welcome to Seven Forums. 59c is very acceptable. You can downlod Evga Precision to keep track of your temps and regulate your fan speed if you want. I like it. http://downloads.guru3d.com/EVGA-Pre...load-2251.html
It's easy to use and light weight progrm.
Now I will usually get the MSI Afterburner reply as an alternative program, but it's really just up to you which one you woud prefer.
Also Precision works with all Nvidia cards not just Evga cards.

As thefabe said, 59c is fine although it is a little on the warm side for idle, even with two monitors.

Unless you play games and the temps start getting into the 90c range, you're fine.

I've had a 8600GT OC Edition (not the GTS) and it run 60C in idle (got nearly 90C in stress test using MSI Kombustor).

Now that is a bit on the hot side.

However, the OPs temps, if on the warm side, are acceptable (as stated).
