    Nvidia FX 5500 Problem


    Firstly Hello guys.

    I use Nvidia FX 5500 graphic card.I installed Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit on my computer.The problem is on driver.The driver is not detecting on computer.I updated windows but nothing appears.Still no graphic driver detected.I installed from Nvidia website too but no solution there.The driver is too old.I know that.But i bought the same card with my friend in same shop.But there is not appearing this problem.Everything is fine.

    So the last hope are you guys.Please help here.

    Perhaps this will help:

    Nvidia FX 5500 (or any FX) + WIndows 7 = ??

    Which drivers did you try?

    I'd suggest installing the latest Vista drivers for the card. They should work, and support Aero Glass effects with the card. Windows Update may then install something slightly newer.

    I'v never heard this solution but its same.When i install it appears this.

    Have a look at this thread - Antique video card runs like a champ, but....
    Could you confirm the driver version that you are using for your card?

    I dont have a problme with resolution.I have problem with the driver that is not detected.

    Have you tried installing the driver via device manager?

    How to Install a Driver in Device Manager - credits to Theog

    Also could you post snip of your device manager with the Display Adapter expanded (click on the triangle/arrowhead)?

    AGP or PCI card? If it is an AGP card the drivers for it will not install if the chipset/AGP driver isn't installed or working properly.

    What is the make and model of the motherboard? With that we will be able to point in the right direction in getting an AGP driver installed and getting the video card driver after.
