    Ati 5770

After installing newest drivers (downloaded yesterday), the Windows System Assessment Tool needed renewing and now my graphics scores are down from 7,9 to 6,1. In the same time i've updated my bios from f2 to f3 (which slowed down my RAM from 1600 to 1066; manual reconfig leads to system instability).

Have no idea what to do or what's responsible.

No idea, but how do you get perfect 7.9 graphics w/5770?
    I get 7.4
Bios and or ram related probably.
WEI isn't perfect either and re-boot once or twice and re-run it.

I doubt your 5770 produced a 7.9 on your WEI, my XFX 5870 XXX Edition gives a 7.6 but if you ran your WEI w/o a full cold reboot of your system a 6.1 is about right for a freshly installed high end GPU w/o a full cold reboot. As has been stated WEI scores are not universal but I have no reason to believe your current 6.1 is correct for that GPU, it should be in the 7.3-7.4 range.

When I was using my 5770 I got the usual 7.4. Also ran the W.E.I and got either the usual 7.4, or 6.1. It was hit or miss after a driver update. Couldn't tell you why it did it, but it did it frequently. Usually if I ramped the fan up on the card while I ran the W.E.I it would go back to 7.4.

If you wanted, you can delete all the XML files inside the Datastore folder, and re run the assessment. C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore

Only the files inside the Datastore folder though. Sometimes that clears little glitches with running it.

#1 My bad. I used to have 7,4 not 7,9 with graphics.
#2 A cold restart and deletion of xml files fixed my problem.

    Thanks you guys.
