    Trifire

Well, I have recently purchased an ATI 5970, and I already had an ATI 5870, now I know that it is possible to crossifre this two cards into a trifire set-up, my question is seeing as I would have to upgrade my 5970 to the clock speed of 5870, would the extra heat be worth the trade off for the extra performance? I am using swiftech water cooler system, and I am running a 2560x1600 resolution.

    my total specs are:
    Asus Rampage III Extreme
    8 GB Corsair Dominator 1866mhz
    Intel core i7 965 Extreme
    32 GB Solid State Drive
    1TB Hard Drive
    1200w Antec Trupower
    Ati 5970x 5870

    Short answer - yes.

Not all titles will benefit, but for those that do it would be worth it.

And what is actually watercooled? Is it just the CPU or do you have blocks on the GPU as well?

Thats good enough for me, defintely want to see what the cards can do with game that do take it.

Yes I do have the GPU blocks, but at the moment I am hestitate to use them as I have assembled my system with everything stock and haven't quiet gotten to placing them on the gpu or cpu.
