Nvidia problems

I just finished a clean install of 7 Home Premium 64bit and I cant get my computer to recognize my video card (EVGA 512-P3-N987-TR GeForce 9800) The onboard graphics work fine I just wanted a little more, the system doesnt recognize that the card is even there so there is nothing to try to install drivers to, the device manager has Intel(R) G41 Chipset as the display adapter.
I have tried changing the bios to PCI/PEG and PCI/IGD but then the monitor doesnt even display anything at all. Any suggestions? Motherboard is ASUS P5G41T-M LX

Welcome!

One: Make absolutely sure that the card is inserted all the way in the slot. Remove it and retry if you have to do so.

~~Two: Does you motherboard have one or two PCIe slots? If two, install the card in the top slot. If one, then see step one.~~

(Just saw a pic of your board)

Three: I saw a pic of your card on Newegg.com and I noticed that it has a 6-pin power plug... Do you have the power supply hooked up to the card?

Four: Do you have another pc available to check the card to make sure it works?

Oh man, just checked and sure enough I forgot to hook up the power cable. Just goes to show ya start with the basics before you get too involved. Thank you!
