Windows 7: Is my 8800GTS dying?

Windows 7 Ultimate x64, Mint 9

I agree, a bad PSU could cause this as well. I would run to a local computer shop and either have them test yours, or see if you can buy a new (good) one and return it if you don't need it.

Then, (if that fails) it could be the card.

As mentioned in the first page of this thread, I haven't seen a powersupply connection to the card give people weird artifacting on the BIOS level screen. Usually this is an indication that a chip has fried on the card. Normally, if power was the case, the card wouldn't function at all versus looks like it is functioning, but putting up weird artifacting.

If anything, the power supply might have been the source of the frying, but hard to believe.

3. If you still get errors after the PSU replacement RMA the Graphics Card.

4. If you still get errors then - RMA the motherboard.

Agree with reventon, this is the best testing method.

Mediocre quality PSUs have been known to burnout hardware, Graphics cards, RAM, Motherboards, sometimes all at once.
Better safe than sorry.

Cintiq 21UX (DVI) on 8800GTS - VGA signal only
Should this be simply a symptom of beta drivers, I'll be cool with that. But I'd like to check if this issue seems similar to anybody else's who is running a comparable flatpanel on a similar videocard and only getting an analog signal. It wouldn't be that big of a deal if not for the fact that...

Running GeForce 8800GTS in SLI
I know I have a sub-par card for ny rig(see specs) but I ran across another 8800GTS super cheap and was curious if I would benefit any from running them in SLI. Or should I just bite the bullet and get a new card?

BFG 8800GTS OC 512MB-26" Monitor?
Just a quick question. Does anyone know how a BFG 8800GTS OC 512MB would perform on a 26" or 27" monitor- movies, tv, some FPS gaming, general browsing? Thanks, John:)

8800GTS G92 resize window problem
I installed Win 7 Ultimate 64 build 7000 on my PC which had a GX260 graphics card. The display, a Panasonic Vera 46", was fine after a little shrinking using the Nvidia Contol Panel Resize Desktop option. I have now replaced the 260 with my old 8800 card but I can not shrink everything enough to...

8800GTS equivalent in 9XXX series?
OK, so earlier today I was overclocking the crap out of my 8800GTS 320MB, just to see how far I could push it. Needless to say, that card is now dead. So I headed down to my local big box retailer (ugh) with a couple of hundred bucks to grab a new card. So there were 3 cards I was looking...
