    Is my 8800GTS dying?

I've had my hardware setup for the past 3 years, and Windows 7 64-bit for the past year, without any problems. But since I moved to a new house a couple weeks ago, some issues have been cropping up. At first it would only happen in 3d games. I would get red snow across the screen, and the game would intermittently lock up or go to black until I force killed it. I've also started getting bluescreens too caused by nvlddmkm.sys

I've also been getting errors in the action center like these Source Windows Summary Sh - Errors - dRw2Ui23 - Pastebin.com

I don't think its because my cards overheating because it rarely goes above 60.

The worst part is that it's now spread beyond 3d games and now my desktop and even bios screens have red dotted lines on them.

And trying the latest drivers, or old drivers, or cleaning the drivers doesn't seem to help.

    Is this a lost cause?

The BIOS screen appears before the OS is even loaded, so if it is also affecting your BIOS screens, then it does look as though your card is on its way out. Sorry.

You could try reseating the card and making sure that its fan is working properly.

Just cause the fan is going, doesn't necessarily mean that the card isn't failing. Normally it is the fan that goes first, then the chip overheats and is damaged. There have been a few reports where some nVidia drivers have cause problems with cards which would overheat and damage the chipset.

Double chk your cables too. Since you mentioned you just moved so I assume you had to unplug things and replug your pc connections.

If he unplugged the secondary power cable to the card, he wouldn't get video at all versus getting video with weird artifacts.

What? I was referring to the video cables.(e.g. the VGA or DVI cables.)

Artifacting on the bios screen is not a result of loose video cables either. If anything, his colors would be OFF, but no weird lines or characters on the screen, even on the Bios level. But now that he has mentioned he tried different monitors as well and still having the problem, it is pretty much his card might be a little fried.
