    Video card upgrade

Does anyone out there know if you can upgrade the video card on the HP G72 Notebook? The one it has doesn't handle HD video very well, and I'm going to be working with HD video a lot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

More than likely not as most notebooks have the video soldered to the motherboard. Even if it is socketed you still have to find one, they aren't like desktop cards that you can get anyplace that sells computer parts.

Would also help to know which G72 you have as HP lists 101 variations of it,

Looking at the specs list there is even less chance of upgrading. There is no mention at all of it having an ATI or Nvidia card in addition to the Intel graphics (they work as dual cards with the Intel being used for most things, and the ATI or Nvidia being used for things that require more graphics power), which is integrated into the CPU which makes the only way to "upgrade" the video is to upgrade the CPU. problem with that is that there isn't an Intel CPU with a better graphics chip in it than what you already have.
