[PLEASE HELP] Problem with Graphic Cards & Philips TVs..

I have connected my computer to the Philips Aurea 42PFL9900D through HDMI.

Everything seems to work fine except 1 thing and that is that the screen blinks (black screen) for 1 second and then goes back to normal sometimes.

I thought that it might be a problem with the graphics card (gtx 260) but yesterday I bought a new graphics card, just for this bloody issue (HD Radeon 5770) and I still have the same issue.

I looked it up now and it seems like alot of people have the same problem with Nvidia & Radeon and Philips TVs:

Appereantly something having to do with the "EDID" thing and there is a "solution" which I dont understand at all presented for nVidia cards and Im wondering if anyone with knowledge knows how to solve this very annoying issue for Radeon (5770) or come with some suggestions?

I appreciate all the help & suggestions I can get... :\

While this may indeed be a video card/TV issue. Make sure you have the latest TV software update as well. That complaint is not unusual with Philips TVs and HDMI from TV sources as well. I don't know what country you are in, but perhaps look here:

Philips - Search results for 42PFL9900D

Pick your country and see if you have the latest SW version.
