    SLI question

    Hi all,

first off a merry xmas to all and a big cheers for everyones help this year.

My question is, what are the issues 1 can expect when going SLI. I have seen in many threads people saying "go for a powerful single card to avoid the "issues" with an SLI setup. What are these issues??

Just wanted some input from people that have SLI and what, if any problems they've had, eg driver issues with games ect. Also if any1 is running 480's in SLI, what PSU are you using?

Now that the 580's are out I can pick up a second 480SC for a good price. From reviews i've read they seem to scale very well.

    cheers

You shouldn't have any "issue's" as long as you have the proper PSU and a matching card. It doesn't need to be the same manufacturer although I recommend it, but it should be the same model.
Even if the clock speeds are a little different your system will default to the lower clock speed card.
