Computer uses "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" instead of my GeForce
Since yesterday, my computer has stopped using my GeForce GTX 670 and is using the Standard VGA Graphics Adapter instead (according to DxDiag).
This happened when I was trying to install a new driver for my graphics card from its official website so that I could play a game called Battlefield 4. I am currently using a Republic of Gamer G75VW gaming laptop from Asus.
I have tried re-downloading the driver numerous times again but the installation just fails every time.
I have tried restoring my system to a date prior to this event but it just keeps failing.
Updating my nVidia Graphics Adapter through Windows Update just fails every time as well.
I have no more clue on what I should be doing as everything I do seems to do nothing, I would like to be able to play games and watch movies/videos without having to lag again and any help that I get will be much appreciated.
PS: I have included an attachment that shows my system specs
