    OpenGL Failure with CS 1.6

I'm having trouble with CS 1.6 . The game would only run in Software Mode and whenever I try to run it in OpenGL this error message appears:

The specified video mode is not supported
The game will now run in Software Mode

Mobile Intel(R) 945 Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - Prerelease VDDM1.0) is what I have. I think that maybe the problem could be that it's a Microsoft prerelease driver version or somewhat. I've tried checking on Intel's website but I've only seen either Intel 945GM or Intel 945GMS or something like that.

    Can anyone help me?

Boy do I have the exact same problem

Intel 945gm opengl not supported (but it is according to opengl extensions) and for sure its the driver. Are you using the Mfr's driver like they tell you to? Dont. Go to intel and get the driver for your system 32 or 64 and presto opengl sings. The intel driver may say it doesn't work and to get the driver from mfr dont believe it. There is a trick if you run into this problem

Pm me if you need help Hope this has helped

    Piece of cake
I have a clone of your system and needed opengl to work (it was broken) because my astronomy program needsit. I spent 2 weeks listening to experts then went ahead and took a chance. Did you also get a new system tray icon?

No, I have an Acer. Aspirer One D150-1189 to be precise. It's my new little gadget. Pretty small netbook but it's going to be plugged to my tv 24/7 plus, it won't be a hasle to travel with it compared to the 15" I had before :)

help help help! almost the same case!

    It started like this
When i first got Win7 my c.s didnt work i had the wrong driver
then when my system fell a few days ago (its 14. March today) I tried installing C.s 1.6 and it said when it was going to run: The following program will be runned in software mode or something... I played c.s i was happy it worked after 2 years
    Then i tried cheats...
None of them worked, and one guy said u must have OpenGL mode set to use them
I went in options > video >set to OpenGL
Next thing you know when i click apply> an error comes out (just like when i got win7)
"Half life launcher has stopped working"... Now i cant go back in game and set back to software mode Help me someone please
My Graphics are : PowerColor HD 3650
I got all the drivers i just cant run c.s 1.6
