Resolution Problems

Hello people,

I've got a problem with opening Windows Live Messenger on Windows 7 x64
Every time when I open my MSN my resolution drops to 800 x 600
When I go to Change Resolution I put it back to the max, but how can I prevent it?

Welcome to the forum, is this a laptop or desktop machine ?

You haven't filled in your system specs so we don't know what type of machine you have. Does the machine have onboard graphics or a dedicated graphics card and if it's a card what make and model.

What is the native resolution on this machine, you just say you put it to the max but not what that is, maybe it's too high for the onboard chip or the card.

Please post back with more details of your set up and tell us how long this has been going on or has it always happened ?
