    Seeing as you have an ATI card that actually will work. First you have to go into the bios and enable the onboard video, then you need to enable the Surroundview option,

    then you can run one monitor off of each. Actually if you were so inclined you could run up to 4 monitors, 2 off of each.

    Ok I have tried all of these options and still no luck, when Windows loads the windows are duiplicated but as soon as the desktop loads the VGA screen just cuts off.

    OK, I'm starting to think the problem is VGA realted, I just plugged both the HDMI and DVI-D in and when I switch between the displays on the monitor both of them work?
    Don't know if thi is of any help, also I apolgise for this long break but its just been a really bad few months for me for personal reasons but anyway any help is very much appreciated.

I have dual monitors set up for extended displays. The monitors are correctly positioned in the virtual display. When I move a window to the second monitor, it disappears from monitor 1 but doesn't show up in monitor 2 - that screen is black. Thanks

Hi all I have just been out and brought a dvi to vga adaptor so i can run my small 15'' monitor with my 17'' one. The res for the 17'' one is at 1280 by 1024 The max res that the 15'' can handle should be 1024 by 768 but i can only get it to show at 800 by 600. Ashley

I've searched some forums and while i have found all sorts of dual monitor problems i haven't found this one. I have a MSI M670 laptop ( with nvidia 6100Go graphics card ) and a Samsung SyncMaster T240HD. I always connected my monitor with a VGA cable on my windows xp and everything worked fine....
