    Windows 7 Display Problem

I've a Core i3 processor on Intel DH55TC Mother board with HD graphics. The system is new and I've installed Windows 7 with drivers provided with Intel Motherboard. But once I installed the graphics driver my monitor shows lot of dots on screen.

I've LG 16" Screen LCD Monitor. If I uninstall the graphic driver, the dots will go but the correct resolution for my monitor is not available.

What's the solution for this issue? Please help.

    Welcome to seven forums.

Since you are all Intel go to this website below.
    Intel® Driver Update Utility

Click "Check your system for the latest updates". Update what it shows needed. Especially video driver.

Good place to start since without driver the problem goes away so it isn't the monitor itself.

I've visited that site & downloaded the driver. but while trying to install the driver, it is showing the driver you are installing is older than the version already installed.

Quick question ... What does device manager report as your monitor?
If it is reporting PnP then if at all possible please provide the model number so we can look for a driver file (.inf file) and see if we can get it installed so Windows will recognize it as the proper monitor . This should allow you access to the native resolution.
I'm not saying that this will fix the problem but it will help with eliminating possibilities.
    Thanks. Fabe

that looks like the onboard vram is on it's way out, if you can resolve it through drivers then thats great. But perhaps try a dedicated graphics card to see if the problem goes away.

    Hi guys,
Another Update. Till now I thought this is the problem only associated with Windows 7 . As in Windows XP it was fine. Now I've Installed Ubuntu 11.04 & this problem exists there too. Any idea what this problem is all about?

I've visited Intel Driver detection & update utility but no use.

Sounds like a hardware issue for sure if it happens with a different OS / Driver.
