Need a new card... power consumption picky

    Hello there!

About a year ago I had a Nvidia card: GeForce GT 250 - it crashed and I was forced to throw it away. Last year I got ATI Radeon HD 4850, which I still have. It was only supposed to be temporary.

Now, I'm planning to upgrade it and I have absolutely no idea what video card to get, I want a card from AMD.

I'm not really a gamer, I mostly play old games - the most recent one I have is GTA IV (Dec 2008) so it doesn't need to be a very powerful one. Also, as the title suggests I'm a bit picky when it comes to power consumption.

A comparison table would be a miracle! That even lists my current card (Radeon HD 4850) and power consumption so I have something to leap from.

I've been searching for a while but haven't found any with those two requirements.

    Help?

Exactly what 4800 series card do you have? ie I have a 4890 so about the next step up will be a 5830....

    Oh, right... It's 4850.
Speccy only said the series - not the individual card. Sorry about that.

A better card than a 4850 will need at least a 6 pin power connector....what are you looking for in power use?

A 6850 uses 1x/6 pin connector....A 6870 uses 2x/6 pin connectors.....spec say a 500 watt power supply...I will say it better be a excellent one.....a good 600 watt or better would be a better choice:)
