    Video Capture Card?

Hey guys, i play a lot of guitar hero, and im looking into making recordings and live streams for my friends who live across the world. Ive been told i need a video capture card as an alternative to using a crappy webcam.

However, the people ive asked at best buy have told me are only showing me camcorders, and telling me to plug the xbox into them D:

So, where do i need to go to get a device that will record the video from an xbox? (high def preferred, hdmi/component )

Maybe this will help: YouTube - How To Record Your Video Games
But that is an awful lot of effort. Maybe a seperate camera that you can place in a better location than the built in one will suffice. Then you can use any old screen capture program for recording.

im not quite sure what exactly what you mean... Is that still going to capture just the video? (what im trying to avoid is any background stuff, like my tv, background noises, fuzzyness. Its litterally the signal that the xbox is sending to the tv/monitor, is what i wanna record.

Unfortunatly, the dazzle only has the red/white/yellow connection =(

With a camera you will obviously get all the surroundings. But if you close the door, there should not be too many background noises.
