Geforce GT220 issue :S
Hi, I recently upgraded my motherboard, RAM and cpu and performed a clean install of Windows 7 professional x64. However to do this, since my disk drive broke on me, I plugged my hard drive into my brothers computer and installed from there. I also plugged in my graphics card, Geforce GT220, and installed the drivers from the CD which are quite old now. With my brothers motherboard and display there were no issues and everything worked fine. However when I plugged everything into my motherboard and booted up windows explorer.exe crashed instantly. It repeatedly did this after every reboot.
I tried booting up in safe mode, which worked fine, and from there removed the nvidia drivers. These drivers proved to be the issue as the boot worked fine afterwards. I should add that my brothers motherboard is the same as mine, only his supports USB 3.0.
So my question is, what should I do to fix the issue?
Edit: I also get Blue screen BAD_POOL_HEADER sometimes. I have updated the BIOS, next step chipset drivers.
Thanks.
My specs are:
AMD phenom II X2 550 @3.1ghz
Asus M4A88T-M 880G
DDR3 corsair 2x2GB
Inno 3D geforce gt220
WD caviar green 1TB
