    PCI Graphic Card Question

    Hey folks!

Just a quick question, but it's important for my decision on wether to use Windows 7 or stick with Windows XP as my main OS.

Basically, I'm using a Powercolour ATi Radeon HD 4350 Graphic Card in my rig. The card is fit for the standard PCI Bus, not PCI-E. I'm just wondering that if I install Windows 7, will the card run Aero without trouble?

I'm asking this because a few months ago, I installed Windows 7 on a spare HDD and upon booting with the card, the display lagged so much, that even Windows itself was unusable. But I think this is a RAM issue as the card states it needs a minimum of 512MB, and at the time my rig only had exactly 512MB RAM (508MB Useable). And when I swithched to integrated graphics, Windows 7 ran normally, albiet without Aero. I've just ordered new hardware (which you can see in my system specs) so that should resolve that.

So, in short: Will my card run Windows 7 normally with these new upgrades? Thanks! :)

Hello there, yeah it'll work as long as you install the latest catalyst drivers from ATI/AMD, it won't be a problem!

    Here:

    Windows 7 32-bit ATI Radeon
    Windows 7 64-bit ATI Radeon

    That's all you need :)
