Quick question on ATI and NVIDIA together ?

I have a new MSI 890FXA-GD70 mobo and I've been using a BFG GTX260 Maxcore which I will be replacing with a newly ordered MSI R5770 Hawk series GPU.

    Question:

    1) Can I still use the GTX260 and benefit from it's PhysX ability ?
    2) Has anyone any Crossfire knowledge on this R5770 Hawk card ?

Thanks in advance for any and all comments !

Q1 - With some mods, yes

    Q2 - 5770 Crossfire = GTX 460

I think PhysX works on your CPU when you have ATi/AMD card.

I'll give it a try when the R5770 Hawk arrives. With luck taking the GTX260 out of the GPU loop will cure the start up blue screen but still benefit from it's PhysX strengths?

You can use the GTX260 as a Physx card, but you need to use modded drivers for the ATI + Nvidia setup. Not sure exactly where to go as I've never used it before, but a Google search will probably find them.

Sounds like a lot of work for the gain? Anyone out there have 5 series Crossfire knowledge. Would it be smarter to sell the GTX260Max and just Crossfire a second R5770 Hawk.
