Dedicated Physx Card

Hey guys,

My dad has an old 8500GT that he doesn't use any more, and he let me use it. Right now I have the GTX 470 and I felt like messing around and making the 8500GT a dedicated Physx card.

My question is, how can I do that? Will I notice that big of a difference anyway?

Btw, The GTX 470 is by evga and I am using evga precision to monitor temps, etc. Will I be able to that with the 8500 even if it's made by XFX?

i would think you would see a differnce but a performance drop maybe.

Im not to sure about sli and crossfire configurations but that card is a very low end card vs what you are using

The 8500GT doesn't support Physx, unfortunately. The oldest card that does is an 8600.

Dedicated PhysX card: PSU question
So I'm running a GTS 250 as my main gfx card, but I have a 9800 GTX+ just lying around that I was considering using as a dedicated PhysX card. The only question is, will my 700w PSU be enough to power both cards, or do I need to jump up to 750 or 800?
