Help plz...windows 7 ultimate 32 bit .. wide screen problem?

I installed windows 7 ultimate 32 bit n i am facing this wide screen problem. What should i do? My laptop is DELL inspiron N5010.

    I have two options:
High 1024 X 768 (This is the one I choose)
    Low 800 x 600
In List All Modes, I chose 1024 by 768, True Color (32 bit), Default Refresh but of no use.
My graphics card: Generic Non-Pnp Monitor on standard vga graphics adapter.

I am not at all into technical things. All the information I ve provided is after reading various threads n still not getting a solution to my problem. Please help.

You need to install the graphic drivers
    Drivers & Downloads

Note that Dell does not provide 32-bit drivers for this model, only 64-bit drivers are available

You can try the generic AMD display driver

    Change the resolution/refresh rate
Your laptop supports up to 1366x768

According to specs you have a mobility ATI Radeon HD5470
You may have more luck with this driver
ATI Catalyst (click the individual download tab and use that one)

I'm sure the above linked is viable as well though.

This one didn't work..I tried.Still the same 2 resolution options.

This means that your Dell laptop uses a custom modified driver, but since dell doesn't provide the driver for 32-bit systems you should use 64-bit

Windows 7 64-bit is supposed to be preinstalled on this laptop, why did you install 32-bit?

I couldn't get win 7 64-bit CD.Since it was preinstalled i never felt the need till recently when the hard disk crashed.I've ordered DELL to send me my copy though, which they didn't provide during the laptop's delivery.

Dell should have sent a 64-bit DVD, you should contact them.
The 32-bit version won't work properly without the required drivers
