Here´s my problem. I got an old XP thats are junked (sure i clean it but it isnt be faster as new) That i decide to install Windows 7 when i overclocked CPU it speeds alot i Got 4.2 at WEI. and AERO is not working when i turn it on Graphics will start blink... (after 5min its show it will be recovered. and run Windows Basic) I tried Catalyst 11.1a, 10.9,10.6(all of these show my graphics,as Radeon 2600XT AGP but i have 3650) 9.11 with torrentg method is showing 3650 AGP but when i turn aero its the same and after some while it shows BSOD? What to do? I really want a aero or i go back to XP..

BlackRa1nX, welcome to the Seven Forums.

There are a couple of reason as to why you are having problems with your video card,

    1. None of the drivers you listed have any support in them for the AGP versions of the HD 2xxx/3xxx/4xxx series of cards. Surprised that any of them would even install. The driver you need is the AGP Hotfix driver,

    AMD Catalyst

    2. This is a big one, the Nforce 3 chipset on your motherboard. Not sure how much of that thread you read or searching on the forums here, but the NF3 AGP chipset has been very hit and miss (with far more being miss) in getting any AGP card to work on them in Windows 7. The problem is that Nvidia dropped support for the NF3 back in 2005 before even Vista came out, and as a result there is no support in Windows 7 for the chipset. it probably won't work but you can try installing the last XP driver for it,

    nForce3 - Windows XP/2000

    • Audio driver version 4.42 (WHQL)
    • Audio utility version 4.44
    • Win2K ethernet driver version 4.16 (WHQL)
    • WinXP ethernet driver version 4.16 (WHQL)
    • Ethernet NRM driver version 4.82 (WHQL)
    • Network management tools version 4.88
    • GART driver version 4.36 (WHQL)
    • Memory controller driver version 3.38 (WHQL)
    • SMBus driver version 4.04 (WHQL)
    • Installer version 4.46
    • IDE driver version 4.46 (WHQL)
Do a custom install and only select the 3 that are bolded.

Make sure to uninstall the ATI first, then try the above. It may also take compatibility mode to get it to install,

    Compatibility Mode

Just don't be surprised if after all of that nothing changes, as I think you will find that most with a NF3 based motherboard ended up back on XP until such a time as they got a new computer.
