Does having 2 monitors effect game fps

I have 2 monitors 1 hooked to an HDMI and the other hooked to a standered VGA will having them both connected affect performance

If you are rendering on two monitors you are doubling the load on the graphics card. If one monitor is just displaying normal desktop items and the other the game, the decrease should be less noticeable. In that scenario turning off aero theming would also problem help the hit a little.

i always turn my second monitor off while gaming, then my gfx card can concentrate on one screen, rather than two.

it has to be faster - not twice as fast, but certainly faster.

Performance loss should be negligible provided you're using only one monitor for gaming and the other is just idle. However, some games do not react well to this configuration (Splinter Cell Chaos Theory) and require that just one monitor be configured as active.

Is Nvidia dual monitors a poor cousin to Windows 7 dual monitors?..
Having just upgraded from XP using the Nvidia dual monitor desktops for years, I was surprised to find Windows 7 has this feature in-built with the added bonus of slideshow desktop images C00L! So beyond Win7 eye candy which is better, Does it come down to games running faster under the Nvidia...

Do you listen and trust game reviews or judge them for your self. Would you still buy a game if it only got fair review but the price was cheap enough. What game did you install and was deeply disappointed even when the game got a good review
Game Explorer Windows is unable to connect to the game updates server
How do I get the Game Explorer to check for updates again? I have no idea why it stopped working but that's all I get now.
Mass Effect 1 - native monitor resolution not showing up in-game.
So my native monitor resolution is not showing up via the in-game settings page. Is there something I'm missing? Bought it via Steam weekend sale. Thanks. =)
