Windows 7: I need your opinion: Upgrading To EVGA GeForce GT 430 1 GB DDR3 PCI-E?

Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1 & Windows 8 & 8.1 Pro x64

Hello. I have been searching and all I am finding for a relable manufacturer of the GT 440 with the 1 expansion slot is the one I stated above. Everything else is are two slots so the fan can pull air in. I also see there is a trade off between the type and the memory amount to keep the price relatively close. The cheaper GDDR3 memory is about half the cost of the GDDR5 memory, so with the GDDR5 memory type they provide 512 MB and with the GDDR3 memory type they provide 1 GB. So where would I be ahead?

I am going to keep looking... ...I will check out ATI/AMD equivalent.

Please, if you do know of anything or willing to share, please do.

Hello. Okay, I found 2 I like that are comparable in some ways.

Which one would you choose?

A. EVGA GeForce GT 440 1024MB DDR3 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card Video Card 01G-P3-1441-KR

B. XFX ATI Radeon HD 5670 1 GB DDR5 DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort PCI-Express Video Card HD567XZNF3

The best two I could find that are similar. Both use one expansion slot. Major trade offs: 2 DVI ports -or- 1 DVI and DP port; DDR3 -or- DDR5.

I understand that the DP port is the future (overtake the DVI in the near future). Your thoughts? I see some newer monitor are taking on the DP ports now.

Please respond.

Thank you!

Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (64-bit)

XFX ATI Radeon HD 5670, it's better than a GT 440

GDDR5 vs GDDR3, and i think it's a little less expensive - Computer Hardware,Video Cards & Video Devices,Desktop Graphics / Video Cards,Radeon HD 5000 series,Radeon HD 5670

Yep, it's cheaper! Both support DX11 and i think the 5670 uses less power than the GT 440.

Upgrading DDR3 RAM With Only 2 Slots
How much memory would I be able to upgrade my computer to? I have 64-bit Windows 7, shouldn't I be able to put nearly as much as I want? I currently have 6GB RAM, and I'm constantly using all of it, which causes slow-downs for my system. I was looking at 8GB to 16GB of RAM. Thanks in advance!
