    So things like GTA IV, Crysis, COD4-5, etc.. don't really need it?

    GTA IV uses the havok engine, COD 4/5 it's own proprietary engine, Crysis uses the crytek engine. None of these will use physx.

    Wait a bit longer, end of summer is when the new 5XXX series cards are due out. You can either go for one of them to start with, or get to 4XXX cards way cheaper.

    Go for the HD4890 I had a hd4870 1GB and upgraded to the HD4890 and saw massive improvements in crysis and crysis warhead, fallout 3 and obviously all older games aswell.

    You can pick a HD4890 for £149 from Pixemania thats where i got mine shows a stock Hd4890 in the pic but I received the Sapphire version and am very happy with it.
