    Foxconn P4M800P7MB-RS2H vga problem

I have a computer with a foxconn motherboard which I have downloaded the driver and saw it was only for XP so I had to run it in compatibility mode after that I restarted and my problem still exist. The thing is my Aero effects doesn't want to work. Can anyone get me like a WDDM or something like that driver. That is what windows wants when I trouble suite. Please guys

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Have you tried letting Windows Update search for drivers? I find that sometimes helps.

    This board?

MOBOT: Motherboard Spec Sheet: Foxconn P4M800P7MB-RS2H Motherboards.org

If so then there aren't any Windows 7/Vista drivers for it as Via dropped support for it at XP. And a driver won't help when the hardware is lacking the necessary support.

AGP or PCI; no PCI-E. If it is only for Aero then it really isn't worth it because sadly the cost of a Windows 7 compatible would likely be more than the entire computer is worth.

What games? AGP cards are starting to get hard to find, and if it is for anything even remotely recent for games then they are even harder.

It does? Not according to Foxconn it doesn't,

    Foxconn - Products: Motherboard

If it does happen to have a PCI-E 16x slot, then you can put anything you want in it budget and power supply willing. If it is AGP as the picture and specs show then the best AGP card is the HD 4670.

As for what card to recommend, if you want to have Windows 7 driver support then,

    1. For Nvidia if you can find one (will only be used), something like a 7600 GS or GT

    2. For ATI, anything from the HD2xxx series and up.

Quick question, how where those games running with the onboard video in XP? If they were playable it might be a better idea to go back to XP and save 7 for a newer computer.
